Dont clean your eyes, this is actually not a work of photoshop.. its.. a BEER!! in Morocco!! they do exist...










This picture and the following document an extremely interesting individual we met in Essaouira named Zachariya. He is a caravani and wandering merchant from the Sahara Desert who trades and collects rare artifacts from past generations of desert dwelling people. The gadgets in these pictures are rare findings of something called an Astrolap which is an ancient tool used to navagate the stars and predict the winds of the desert. one of the discs of this tool actually shows evidence that not only suggests an understanding of the world's spherical shape however a measurement of its size and direction of the celestial currents surrounding the planet.

a verticle line marked along the chin signifies an engagement

a marking on the nose signifies marriage

markings similar to the ones in the picture about signify the bearing of children
