Mardin

Welcome to Mardin! İ've waited two and a half years to visit this beautiful city!

Very old graves and fragments of wall carvings sometimes laden with anceint Cuneiform script.

Graves written in Osmanlıca from Ottoman Empire times.

Two seated figures from the time of the Assyrian Empire (650-800bc)

fragments of old cave art.

The pathway between Kırklar Kilisesi and Mardin Müzesi.

a foggy view overlooking the lands preceeding Syria.

Mardin's talented Emrah

My home in Mardin!

children outside of Kırklar Kilisesi.

Christmas service in Kırklar Kilisesi.

This picture shows a carving of a woman i chanced upon in Mardin Müzesi and it proves so many things ive always believed. number one, people have always been into tattoos (as you can see from the depictions on her legs) and number two people have always loved women with huge t*ts! This statue is about 10.000 years old and it bears remenance to Venus of Willendorf although its undeservably much less famous. İm in love with her..

ancient cows!

a better shot overlooking syria.

ah.. my beautiful mardin family.. this is baby Yusuf.

grandma and the grandkids :)))

The author and Deli Yusuf!

in my long life i have never seen hospitality that nearly matches the people of eastern Turkey and especially that of my family in Mardin. Her şey için çok teşekkür ederim ailem. Sizi seviyorum ve misafirperverliğiniz için ben teşekkür ederim!

These are two videos i stole from within Kırklar Kilisesi.. you should probably turn your volume down a bit before watching :)
