welcome to the aral sea, kazakhstan... the greatest environmental disaster since 1989. this is what happens when man mixes with nature and thinks that the problems they create now will only affect future generations and what we do today does not matter. ghosts dont even come here.

The government doesn't care, the people have washed it from their memories, the Uzbeks refuse to fix their leaky drainage canals. It's a solvable problem though there is nobody willing to fix it. It's a forgotten wasteland, good on you for going, I never made it out there myself.
It seems as though you've seen the underbelly of Kazakhstan so far, don't forget to go to Astana and see where all the money goes. It's like and earth colony on Mars with swimming pools and water slides.
